Summary
Blue Planet III camera technology pushed BBC Natural History Unit engineers to invent systems that did not exist, including the Stonefish -- a 4K seabed recorder that runs for 24 hours autonomously with no crew, no tether, and no light, deployed in Shark Bay to film dolphin behavior no crewed camera could capture undisturbed. The series premieres November 1 on BBC One.
