Summary
*If God created everything, must God also have created evil?* Alex O'Connor examines a theological response that treats evil not as something independently existing, but as a privation of goodness. He considers whether this distinction can relieve God of responsibility for evil and why such arguments may help believers understand their faith without convincing skeptics. 0:00 Evil as a Violation Rather Than a Created Thing 2:35 Evil as Privation and God's Foreknowledge 6:13 The Limits of the Privation Argument 8:39 Faith, Comfort, and the Problem of Evil 11:26 A Neutral God and Skeptical Theism Alex O'Connor, also known as CosmicSkeptic, is an English podcaster and YouTuber known for his long-form explorations of ethics, religion, and secularism.
