Summary

Some of the greatest bands in music history created unforgettable songs together, but behind the scenes, many were dealing with explosive personal conflicts. In some cases, the drama even became almost as famous as the music itself. These legendary bandmates could not stand each other offstage… Very few band feuds are as legendary as the turbulent relationship between Oasis brothers Liam and Noel Gallagher. As the driving force behind the Britpop movement, the pair delivered massive hits throughout the 1990s, including ‘Wonderwall’ and ‘Don’t Look Back In Anger’. But years of arguments and public disputes eventually led to Oasis sadly splitting in 2009 following what Noel later recalled to Esquire as “the night in Paris.” After shutting down reunion rumors for over a decade, the brothers finally announced the Oasis reunion world tour in 2024. Another famous rivalry unfolded within Pink Floyd. Bassist Roger Waters and guitarist David Gilmour actually spent years battling over the band's creative direction. After Waters left the group in 1985, the dispute even escalated into a lengthy legal battle over Pink Floyd’s future, with Gilmour and drummer Nick Mason ultimately securing the right to continue using the band's name. Guns N’ Roses also experienced major internal conflict during the height of their fame. Frontman Axl Rose frequently clashed with guitarist Slash, tensions that ultimately contributed to the band's breakup. Reflecting on his departure, Slash even told Piers Morgan in 2012, “I think this is the end of the line.” Although the pair eventually reunited for Guns N’ Roses’ 2016 reunion tour, their relationship had been strained for years. Then there's Fleetwood Mac, a band that famously turned personal heartbreak into musical gold. During the recording of the classic album ‘Rumours’, both Lindsey Buckingham and Stevie Nicks, as well as John and Christine McVie, were going through painful breakups. Somehow, the band channeled that tension into one of the most acclaimed albums ever recorded.
